While a bench multimeter is great I meanwhile discovered that I needed something else to measure impedance for my RF circuits.
An LCR meter and a multimeter both can measure resistance, but an LCR meter specializes in measuring inductance (L), capacitance (C), and resistance (R) with higher accuracy across various frequencies, while a multimeter is a more general-purpose tool for measuring various electrical quantities. Multimeters typically don’t measure impedance across multiple frequencies, whereas LCR meters excel at characterizing component behavior under different frequencies.
